Muse Rooftop Pool Bar and Lounge

So my husband and I went there for our one year anniversary last night…At first it’s a bit of a put off because it’s in a plaza…but when you walk inside, your perspective changes right away…
The maitre’d or manager (not sure who he was) shook my hubby’s hand and kissed mine! (Surprising). Then he saw we were a couple dressed up and offered us a romantic back room that was more quiet and we accepted. Immediately he noticed I was wearing a black dress and offered me the black linen napkin, which I like!
They bring two things to the table that are complimentary…bruschetta on toast and bread with an oil garlic sauce on the side. The oil garlic sauce was delicious with lots of visible pieces of garlic…not good for the breath, but yummy on the bread!!
The waiter brought us two large bottles and asked if we wanted sparkling or flat, so it didn’t look like there was an option of having tap water to save the 6 bucks…this I didn’t like too much. But aside from that…let’s get to the food…
I ordered the veal franscese and it was divine. The veal was very thinly sliced and breaded in a delicious light breading, plated over some garlicy lemony pieces of arugala. On the side comes a small plate of al dente pasta in a tomoto sauce. The pasta was just ok, but it wasn’t the main focus so I wasn’t mad. On the plate with the veal was a small portion of mashed sweet potatoes which were yummy and creamy, and also a pretty tomato which was very fresh. Oh, and two deliciously flavored pieces of brocolli. My husband ordered the chicken parm, which was also quite delicious. The side items were the same, and he also didn’t care for the pasta.
Overall, the portions were just right…at first they seem small, but after everything, you leave full, but not TOO full.
The prices weren’t that horrible…our bill for two dinners, a bottle of water, and a bottle of wine was 80 dollars.
The service was great, the environment was classy, and I would definitely recommend this place for a small gathering or a romantic date.
