During a recent trip to Hawaii, I got foundation stain on a new dress that I was going to wear for the first time at a wedding. When I got to Honolulu, I immediately went to Aloha Dry Cleaners given I saw it had good review.

When I walked in, there was a really nice guy at the front and he even carefully used tape to mark where all the stains are. I asked if he thinks it can be removed and he happily / kindly said most likely. It was only $14 and I could pick it up by the end of the week.

A week later, thinking the stains are removed, I walked in to find myself a bit disappointed. While the stains did get better, it was evidently still there. I was outside obviously a bit upset and the same guy walked out telling me that they tried their best to remove it without damaging the dress. I said no worries completely understand.

I then went home and researched what other stain removers are there and surprisingly OxiClean Max Force Gel Stain had amazing reviews. I bought it and used it and worked like magic — stains are all gone!

I can’t tell if I had just used OxiClean from the start the result would’ve been the same or the dry cleaning did help.

Anyhow, I was on vacation so sending it to dry cleaner was the best solution. It was relatively cheap but I just wished it actually got the stains removed fully. I still appreciated the place for having a nice service and a quick turnaround.
