Cherry Creek Shopping Center

I stopped in yesterday with my daughter and her friend so they could see a movie and hang out. They are 11 so I didn’t feel comfortable leaving them alone. I have not spent a ton of time at this mall since they instituted the parking fees. I know they aren’t crying over losing my $, but the greed still bothers me and I take my business elsewhere for the most part. Yesterday, we got to the mall at about 2:30. The kids had lunch, did some shopping, saw a movie at 5. While they were doing their thing before the movie, I had my laptop and sat in a lounge area to finish up my work day. With a headset to block out the music playing, it’s doable. Once their movie started, I put my laptop away in my car, got a coffee, did some shopping of my own. I bought a few sweaters, a new coat for my daughter and some new makeup. I had some time to kill so I went to Tokyo Joes and had some poke waiting for the movie to get out. All in all, we spent about 5 hrs total in the mall and I spent about $400 between the movies, meals and shopping. I used to make these kind of trips often with my kids in tow. Yesterday, my parking was validated by the movie theater. It felt great because I used to do that at least once a month if not more during the winter months, spending an afternoon there shopping, eating and relaxing.
