GSME was founded on a commitment to superior quality sheet metal production and remains a family-owned business to this day. GSME was established in 1987 by Darryl Gilbert in Avondale, Auckland, and has since expanded rapidly because of the company’s no-nonsense, can-do attitude, diverse skill set, and extensive expertise.

GSME is a metal fabrication company that specializes in stainless steel, aluminium, mild steel, and brass, as well as cabinet fabrication in a wide variety of sheet metal materials.

We are able to carry out production runs in addition to one-off fabrications thanks to the on-site facilities that we provide, which include laser cutting, CNC punching and folding, all forms of welding, CAD design, and 3D modeling. He has a wealth of knowledge in dealing with all aspects of the sheet metal fabrication and light engineering industry thanks to Darryl Gilbert’s lengthy career in the trade, which spans more than 35 years.
