Marugame Udon

By far the best Thai I have have had on island. Admittedly I am a Thai snob. The surprising amount of places that dare use ketchup on pad Thai (you know who you are) is gross. I accidently found this place while trying to get un-lost and my daughter doing the most I. The back seat. We didn’t eat there then. But when trying to find something different than the normal lackluster Thai place we had been going, I remembered the red elephant on the sign and…. Finally a shot in the dark that paid off. Just walking in there you can smell rhe crispness of the meals ( if that makes sense). My mother and I always judge a Thai place on two dishes. Green curry and pad Thai. Both are excellent, I even trust them enough to lately I have been trying other dishes! Having lives all over the mainland and places like Singapore. I am confident that red elephant can hold its own amongst my great Thai restaurants. Coconut Thai in Seattle is still #1 but red elephant for me is Hawaii’s #1 for nummy nummy Thai!!!
