Rubirosa specializes in old school American-Italian Cuisine. Most noticeable is the Pappalardo family recipe for Rubirosa’s thin crust pizza but also hosting an array of dishes. Starting off with Traditional Appetizers like Sicilian-style mini rice balls, roasted octopi or the famously acclaimed Beef Braciole; moving on to entrees that indulge the palate : Italian-American pasta dishes like Lasagna Napoletana, Chicken Parmesan or for the more adventurous the black and white Tagliatelle , all our pastas are house made. Rubirosa was established in 2010 with a vision to bridge the gap between the old and new neighborhood regulars. As to date, Rubirosa’s homey and comfortable atmosphere has accomplished to welcome every occasion, from family-style group dining to drinks and antipasti at our cozy bar. Inspiration for the creation of Rubirosa remounts to visits to Florence, Italy from Owner, Angelo Pappalardo to a restaurant of equal name. So, what is the origin of the name Rubirosa? Well, history associates none other than Porfirio Rubirosa (1909-1965), World-Wide diplomat, socialite and skillful playboy; Rubirosa lived a life that many would envy.
