Class Teacher at Role Model School
Role Model School (RMS) is a Christain Creche / Nursery / Primary school founded in 2001 by Daystar Christian Centre, and we have kept a holistic record of excellence since then. - The Class Teacher will be responsible for preparing and implementing a full educational teaching plan according to the school’s requirements.
- He/she will help cultivate the pupils’ interest in education and be their dedicated ally in the entire process of learning and development
Develops lesson plans which meet established the schools’ curriculum
Adapts and reassesses lesson plans to meet specific pupil needs, comply with newly implemented guidelines or rules, update relevant information and include new developments in education
Manages the diverse ability levels of pupils
Adapts curriculum to fit pupil needs while maintaining overall class progress
Possesses and continually develops a working knowledge of school curriculum programmes and frameworks.
Assess and record pupil development, while identifying problem areas and areas which need attention and improvement.
Provides a safe, positive learning environment for pupils
Observe the children keenly to know when they need medical attention.
Ensure children appear neat at all time
Prepare children for presentations for schools events
Communicates with any and all other staff members who engage with pupils
Communicates with parents as per school guidelines on a regular basis, including presenting pupil progress reports and informing parents of requisite pupil discipline
Maintains order and discipline among pupils while promoting safety and compliance with school rules and guidelines
Attends occasional continuing education seminars
Attends and takes part in school meetings on curriculum, organisation, and guidelines
Assist in ensuring pick up and drop off goes smooth
Undertake any other duty assigned.
Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Education
A PGDE /Masters’s in Education and a background in Montessori education will be an added advantage
Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) certificate will be an added advantage.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a good school.
Job Competencies:
Proven experience as a class Teacher
Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods
Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
Excellent communication and instructional skills
Ability to act as a mediator between children
Cool-tempered, friendly and reliable
Have a balance between a creative mind and a practical acumen.
